New research from Prosoy, Bilthoven, The Netherlands, indicates that Europeans are increasingly opting for soy-based alternatives to dairy and meat products. According the report, titled “Soyfoods: The European Market 2005,” the market has again shown 10% growth in 2004 versus 2003, reaching a total market value of €1.6 billion. The market is expected to perform similarly in the coming three years.
