Cargill Unveils AdvantaSoy™ Compress™, Receives GRAS For Oliggo-Fiber™
At the Natural Products Expo East show held in Washington, D.C., this month, Minneapolis, MN-based Cargill Health & Food Technologies unveiled AdvantaSoy™ Compress™. AdvantaSoy™ Compress™ is a high-end soy isoflavone source developed specifically for the dietary supplement industry that is available in customized concentrations.
In other developments, Cargill’s Oliggo-Fiber™ brand of inulin has been determined by an independent panel of experts to be generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use in a wide variety of foods. The GRAS status allows Oliggo-Fiber to be used in foods including baked goods, beverages, cereals, cheeses, salad dressings, spreads, creams, desserts, low-fat yogurt, meats, nutrition bars and sugar-free chocolate.
