CulturedCare Probiotic Gum made by Canada-based Prairie Naturals is the first probiotic gum using Stratum Nutrition’s BLIS K12 probiotic to be approved and granted a product license by Health Canada with an issued Natural Product Number (NPN). 
 
CulturedCare Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12 is approved for use in Canada to: promote oral health through the recolonization of the oral cavity; an oral probiotic for recolonization of the oral cavity after antibiotic treatment; following oral antimicrobial rinsing, Streptococcus salivarius K12 supplementation helps reduce volatile sulfur compound levels (halitosis).

In order to support the incorporation of BLIS K12 as a medicinal ingredient in finished products for sale in Canada, evidence submitted in a Master File to the Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) of Health Canada must be deemed adequate to support the quality, safety and efficacy.
