FrieslandCampina Ingredients will showcase its latest innovations in consumer-driven concepts, including newly-launched bars, gummies, and fastmelts.
The company aims to inspire innovation and boost consumer omega-3 intake with its recently launched algae-sourced Biotis DHA Flex Powders, which can be used to create convenient and great-tasting food, beverages, and supplements. The team will be on hand to discuss the powders’ application flexibility through gummy and fast-melt concepts designed to offer all of the benefits of DHA with exceptional sensory properties.
“There’s a huge appetite for omega-3 solutions in formats that are easy to consume and appealing,” said Sophie Zillinger, global marketing lead for Biotis at FrieslandCampina Ingredients. “However, innovation has lagged in addressing consuemrs’ dietary preferences and delivering exciting, flavorful formats. We’re excited to spotlight Biotis DHA Flex powders, built using our microencapsulation expertise, to show how brands can stand out with convenient, great-tasting omega-3 solutions that tick U.S. consumers’ boxes.
Visitors will also be invited to sample a variety of bar concepts featuring Excellion caseinates. New research indicates that casein proteins can prolong the release of amino acids, and FrieslandCampina’s experts will be on hand to discuss how brands can use caseinates to develop science-backed solutions into convenient, tasty formats that go beyond the classic post-workout shake.
FrieslandCampina will also be on hand to discuss its wider Biotis portfolio at the event, and visitors can sample Biotis GOS gummies, formulated to support gut health and mental well-being. There will also be samples of a shake concept featuring Biotis fermentis, which combines the benefits of protein, prebiotics, and probiotics by fermenting them together. The company will also display its Biotis Lactoferrin Immune-Plus fast-melts, which leverage lactoferrin’s immune support benefits.
“Today’s U.S. consumers are busier than ever, but still want to find time to achieve their health goals, whether it’s looking to get active, protect their immunity, or stay sharp,” said Auke Zeilstra, managing director for North America at FrieslandCampina Ingredients. “At this year’s show, we’re putting the spotlight on convenience, with an exciting variety of concepts including gummies, fast-melts, bars, and RTDs, designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life. We’re excited to meet and collaborate with our customers to develop solutions that help people meet their health goals and get the most out of life, without compromising on taste or experience.”
