Kemin Industries will spotlight its latest ingredient innovations, including FloraGLO Lutein and Optisharp zeaxanthin, a duo that was recently featured in a National Institutes of Health funded clinical study on pregnant women and their newborn infants. The Lutein and Zeaxanthin in Pregnancy (L-ZIP) clinical study associated these ingredients with significantly greater carotenoid levels for both mothers and their newborn infants, which cold lead to long-term benefits for visual health and cognitive development.
“The Kemin team is excited to be a part of this year’s SupplySide West show,” said Josh Swalla, global marketing director of Kemin Human Nutrition and Health. “We look forward to meeting with attendees at the show, where we will highlight recent developments and how our science-backed solutions can help inspire brands to create a new generation of health and wellness products to support healthier lives.”
Kemin’s experts will be on hand to discuss the evidence supporting FloraGLO and Optisharp’s benefits in both the L-ZIP study as well as a recent LuTEEN trial which provided evidence that these carotenoids support measures of eye and brain health in teens at a dose of only five milligrams.
Kemin will also highlight ButiShield, an encapsulated calcium butyrate which is evidenced to control the release of butyric acid, potentially supporting gut health and digestion. Kemin can help customers determine the best dosage of butyric acid based on the fiber gap they are targeting.
Kemin also produces BetaVia, an algae-sourced beta-glucan which is evidenced to provide immune support, microbiome balance, and support of the intestinal barrier integrity.
Finally, Kemin will spotlight DailyZz, a proprietary botanical blend rich in polyphenols which was clinically-evidenced to promote post-sleep cognitive benefits, including metnal speed and focus, decision-making, and visual recall.
