A 2010 randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled study reported potential hair growth promotion from palm tocotrienol complex (EVNol SupraBio) in subjects experiencing ongoing hair loss. In that study, volunteers supplemented with 100 mg mixed-tocotrienol complex daily experienced an average of 34.5% increase in hair count, whereas the placebo group experienced 0.1% reduction.
