About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Consultant to join our dynamic team at Highlife. As we continue to expand our product line, particularly focusing on a new gut and liver health supplement, we need a visionary R&D Consultant who can guide us in sourcing the highest quality ingredients and ensuring our products are effective, bioavailable, and aligned with our mission of enhancing wellness and longevity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the research and development of Highlife’s portfolio of supplements with an initial focus on GI and liver health (supplement).
- Identify and source the highest quality, bioavailable ingredients.
- Collaborate with our manufacturing partners to ensure product efficacy and safety.
- Conduct and oversee testing to validate the safety and health benefits of the nutritional ingredients and final product formulations
- Provide expert advice on formulation, ingredient interactions (synergy), product stability and dosing (and innovative wellness solutions).
- Stay updated on the latest scientific research and industry trends in wellness and longevity.
- Assist in regulatory compliance with manufacturing processes, quality control, and evidence-based health claims support
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in biochemistry, pharmacology, nutrition, or a related field with a minimum 7 years experience.
- Proven experience in R&D, particularly within the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or functional foods industries with a track record of successful product development.
- Strong knowledge of ingredient sourcing, safety, oral bioavailability, nutrient interactions, and product formulation.
