Job Description:
The Product Development Coordinator will be responsible for researching and developing new supplements and health products. From discovering new ingredients, reading scientific research, creating formulations, working with our legal team to determine what claims can be made for the formula, and creating the labels for the product, you’ll be involved in product creation from start to finish.
The position requires you to travel to supplement trade shows to find new and exciting ingredients, and be in direct contact with our product manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.
You’ll also be an integral part of our quality assurance team, to ensure all of our products are manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices. This includes monitoring the quality of every batch of product that comes in, and working with manufacturers to ensure products meet their specifications.
You’ll become an expert on every product we produce. You’ll communicate directly with our customer communications team to provide them with information on new products, and provide them with answers to customer questions about your products.
To succeed in this role, the Product Development Coordinator will study our marketing and customer base to gain a solid understanding of the types of products we want to sell, and the claims we want to make. They will be able to translate dense scientific information into easy-to-understand language that our copy team can use in our product promotions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-5 years’ experience in product development or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated aptitude in being proactive and a self-starter
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Scientific understanding of nutrition and supplement research is preferred, but not required
- The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in natural health and reading scientific studies
