Bloomingdale, IL-based NOW Foods has been selected, for the seventh year in a row, by the National Association of Business Resources (NABR) as one of the Best & Brightest Companies to Work For in the Chicago area. This annual competition honors companies demonstrating an exceptional commitment to their employees, as reported by those employees, and exemplifying the best human resource practices.
“We simply have the best employees who dedicate themselves to providing affordable natural products and services that empower people to lead healthier lives,” said NOW CEO Jim Emme. "Caring for our employees is a paramount priority. This award is for them and is a reflection of their commitment."
Each company’s entry is evaluated by an independent research firm based on key measures in various categories which include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; and Strategic Company Performance. As part of the selection process, employees at each nominated company are randomly selected to complete a confidential survey about their work environment.

As we did in 2013, we plan on introducing some new programs for our employees based on their valuable feedback.”
The company scored higher in multiple areas this year compared to last, including: Strategic Company Performance; Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Education and Development; Communication and Shared Vision; and Employee Achievement and Recognition.
