Poutray & Pekar Associates, Milford, CT, a food ingredients advertising and PR firm, will celebrate its 50th year in business. Launched in 1964, with Corn Products Corporation as its first client, the agency has since successfully promoted various ingredients. Beginning as a public relations firm, Poutray & Pekar now offers complete advertising services, both online and print, globally.
“Since my father, Art Poutray, founded the business, our driving force has been marketing ingredients for companies of all sizes around the world. Today, we have more experience in this unique field than any agency worldwide,” said CEO, Bill Poutray. “We have helped to launch several major companies, built sales of a wide range of ingredients, created brand identity campaigns, developed online marketing programs, and helped a lot of companies to significantly grow their businesses. Our focus has always been to bring deep expertise to deliver exceptional value for our clients. We thank all of our clients, partners, media, and talented team for making this possible.”
Mr. Poutray added, “Many things have changed—ingredient technology, food trends, internet communications, globalization, workplace diversity and others—but one thing has not. Ingredient marketers still need to employ balanced, multi-faceted marketing to communicate their brand and product stories to the R&D and Marketing communities, and we’ve been helping them to do that effectively for 50 years.”
Agency associates have been members of the Institute of Food Technologists since 1961.
The company is marking the occasion by launching a new website, www.ingredientmarketingsolutions.com.
