Health E-Insights: What do you think about dietary supplements?
Mr. Francis: Forget what I think. A few years ago, the National Academy of Sciences issued a report saying that “even if you eat a good diet, it is no longer possible to get the nutrition you need for good health.” The Academy recommended that everyone take at least a multivitamin. The fact is that supplementation is now a necessity, but here is the problem: Most supplements are made from synthetic ingredients that have low biological activity in the body.
Health E-Insights: What makes you an expert on life threatening issues?
Mr. Francis: First of all, my background in chemistry and science. Second, I have spent the last quarter century intensely studying the scientific and medical literature on the subject of cancer. This has allowed me to develop dramatic new insights into the causes of cancer.
Health E-Insights: Tell us about your anti-cancer diet.
Mr. Francis: The anti-cancer diet is all about giving your cells the nutrition they need to function normally. As a practical matter, this means staying away from processed foods and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Health E-Insights: And you really hate microwave ovens?
Mr. Francis: I don't hate the ovens; I don't like what they do. Microwaving food lowers the nutritional content of the food and also creates unique toxins that lower the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood and damage immunity.
Health E-Insights: What is your greatest fear?
Mr. Francis: That the cost of disease care will bankrupt this great nation before we can educate a sufficient number of people on how not to be sick.
Health E-Insights: What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Mr. Francis: My greatest achievement is cutting through the fog of confusion and developing a simple model of health, called the Beyond Health Model. It is so simple it can be taught to a child and yet so powerful, it can cure terminal cancer.
