GNC recently donated $100,000 to the nonprofit Feeding America, which will contribute more than one million meals to families across the country.
The donation comes as part of GNC’s ongoing collaboration with Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization. This donation follows GNC’s previous contributions, including 15 truckloads of health and wellness products valued at $6.4 million earlier this year.
“We are incredibly proud of the impact our National Multivitamin Day campaign has made. Multivitamins are essential for millions of Americans who struggle to meet their nutritional needs through diet alone, filling critical nutrient gaps that affect overall health and well-being,” said Michael Costello, CEO of GNC. “Through our partnership with Feeding America, we’re not only helping consumers take control of their health, but also ensuring that families across the country have access to proper nutrition. This $100,000 donation, which provides one million meals, reflects GNC’s commitment to making a real difference in the health and wellbeing of our communities.”
“We are grateful for the generous support of GNC and its customers,” said Lauren Biedron, Feeding America’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “With this donation, Feeding America continues its work of providing food and resources to the growing number of people facing hunger.”
The funds were raised from GNC’s National Multivitamin Day campaign, where for every bottle of multivitamins sold in September, the company contributed a dollar to Feeding America.
