PLT Health Solutions’ Collactive Collagen Complex, a marine-based ingredient comprised of collagen and elastin peptides, recently received non-GMO verification from the Non-GMO Project.
The ingredient is manufactured by Copalis Sea Solutions, a cooperative of fisheries in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. The 100% marine-based, water-soluble, fully digestible, and low organoleptic impact ingredient is formulated with collagen and elastin peptides in the same ratio as what is found naturally in human skin, positioning it for beauty-from within formulations.

In a clinical study on Collactive supplementation, researchers followed 44 women over the age of 40 by measuring their wrinkles with a skin image analyzer, and it was noted that supplementation with Collactive resulted in a significant decrease (19%) of the number of deep wrinkles in 71% of the subjects after 28 days. Additionally, the researchers noted an 8% increase in whole-body epidermal hydration.
