The Global Organization for EPA and DHA (GOED) has updated its communication tool geared toward healthcare practitioners, and encourages companies to utilize it as part of their outreach programs.
GOED, a trade association representing companies specializing in products containing omega-3 fatty acids, recently updated FatsofLife.com to provide additional material that would be of interest to healthcare practitioners. This site, in addition to the organization’s consumer outreach campaigns which can be viewed at alwaysomega3s.com, is aimed at providing literature and other content demonstrating the health benefits of omega-3s evidenced by the most large-scale, rigorous clinical trials conducted to date.
The site is now mobile friendly, and will curate continuing education units on omega-3s for healthcare practitioners, and will offer a free subscription to GOED’s quarterly scientific newsletter for professionals. As part of GOED’s strategy to educate healthcare practitioners, the organization invites all omega-3 companies to share this site with healthcare practitioners.
“The new features strengthen the site’s objective of informing HCPs about the clinical benefits of EPA and DH consumption for brain, heart, eye, and prenatal/maternal health,” GOED said in an update announcement. “In addition to educational infographics for practitioners, FatsofLife.com also now includes a section with patient-specific details including infographics and videos.”
As a hub of clinical trials, FatsofLife.com categorizes all research based on evidence that omega-3s support cardiovascular, cognitive, eye health, and prenatal/infant benefits, and sub-categorizing the clinical trials based on specific health metrics, each of which is associated with dozens of clinical trials.
