In line with the company's strategic objectives and international growth, Gelnex, a producer of gelatin and collagen, has constructed two new facilities.
Since it was founded in 1998, Gelnex has grown consistently to be one of the four largest gelatin and collagen producers in the world, the company claimed. Though a relatively young player, Gelnex has led with strong experience and tradition in the market. With these two new facilities, Gelnex now has seven factories, a production capacity of over 100 million pounds/year, and a global sales presence in over 50 countries.
With consideration for its customer’s needs, Gelnex has strategically located its new Paraguay gelatin facility near raw material sources. The material produced in this facility will be from grass-fed, pasture-raised South American cattle hides.
In its facility in Portage, IN, Gelnex will hydrolyze South American material into collagen. With its first U.S. facility, Gelnex hopes to consolidate its presence in this region and better serve the North American market.
