In an effort to link market research to consumer healthcare and products in China, global market research company Euromonitor International is partnering with the US-China Health Products Association (USCHPA).
The USCHPA is a non-profit organization that advocates for an open and transparent regulatory environment by working closely with both the government and the industry; focusing on educating its members on strategies to succeed in a very challenging dietary supplement and natural health product market.
“Euromonitor is pleased to work with the USCHPA,” said Head of Consumer Health Monica Feldman. “We’re looking forward to educating members on the size and scope of the health market in China.”
The retail value sales for the vitamin and dietary supplement market globally is $84.4 billion, $24.6 billion in the U.S. and $13.3 billion in China, respectively. Euromonitor’s consumer health system researches hundreds of subcategories surrounding vitamins and dietary supplements, sports nutrition, herbal/traditional products, weight management, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, allergy care, and pediatric consumer health.
USCHPA Executive Director Jeff Crowther added: “Euromonitor’s research and expertise within the consumer healthy industry provides our members insights that are hard to come by. Better understanding of the Chinese consumer can only assist in better products and successful market entry in Asia.”
