Vitafoods Europe Announces 2021 Event Will Be Both In Person and Virtual

11.20.20

A meeting at the Palexpo in Geneva on Oct. 5-7 in 2021 will run parallel to a virtual event, Oct. 4-8.

In light of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Informa Markets announced that Vitafoods Europe 2021 will be taking place with a virtual and in-person hybrid model in October. The in-person event will be hosted at the Palexpo in Geneva from October 5-7, with a parallel virtual event running on October 4-8.

“We had a fantastic response to our first Vitafoods Virtual Expo and Summit in September,” Chris Lee, managing director of the health and nutrition network at Informa Markets, said. “The interactive virtual event opened up our brands to a wider global audience than ever before, highlighting the power of technology to bring our industry together and drive it forward.”

“The disruption of recent months accelerated our strategy to take our core physical event offering to the next level by integrating virtual elements, in order to bring an innovative and convenient format for exhibitors and visitors alike to share ideas and make global connections,” Lee continued. “Face-to-face events bring so much value to our industry, but we also recognize that individuals have different preferences and travel can pose challenges, especially in the current climate. This is exactly why we’re delighted to announce our new hybrid format for Vitafoods Europe 2021. Over a week in October next year, we’ll be hosting forums, webinars, roundtables, and much more across our innovative cross-functional platform and in-person event, providing the industry with access to even more exclusive experiences, knowledge, and networking opportunities.”
