WIN to Host Panel Discussion, Networking Reception at Vitafoods Asia

The nonprofit will provide guidance and networking opportunities for those in attendance with gender equity goals at the forefront.

Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN), a nonprofit focused on gender equity in the nutraceutical industry, will facilitate a panel discussion at Vitafoods Asia, called “Driving Gender Equity Across the Global Nutraceuticals Industry,” which will be followed by a networking reception.

The panel is one of WIN’s initiatives to help companies implement strategies to be more successful. Research by WIN found that companies which had stronger gender equity and demographic inclusion during the hiring process, salary consideration, and other operational aspects, better business decisions were made 87% of the time, compared to 58% of the time in all-male teams.

On Sept. 9, from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Nutrafocus Stage, regional panelists will discuss why breaking down barriers such as the “bamboo ceiling” is essential to promote women in the workforce, and how to improve gender equity within an organization.

The panel will be facilitated by Gillian Fish, founder and CEO of The 6AM Agency, and panelists will include:

  • Rungphech Citanuwat, CEM, regional portfolio director and ASEAN/Phillipines general manager at Informa
  • Jeannie Kwa, marketing manager at The 6AM Agency
  • Salman Mehkri, head of business development at Bio-gen Extracts
  • Amy Sie-Yik Lau, business development and marketing lead at Kyowa Hakko Bio

Immediately following, WIN will host a WIN-Conenct reception from 4:00 to 6:00, in the same location. It will serve as an opportunity to network with WIN leaders, members, and founders. Beverages and canapes will be served.
