Touchstone Essentials has launched a longevity supplement called Telo-Vital, which was introduced at Dave Asprey’s Biohacking Conference in Austin, TX in May.

The supplement was developed by longevity researcher Bill Andrews, PhD, and features an array of botanicals formulated to improve markers of aging at the cellular level. Andrews has spent over 35 years conducting research related to longevity and telomeres, and has over 50 patents. During the biohacker conference, Andrews discussed the relationship between telomeres, cellular health, and longevity, and how telomerase can influence it.

The supplement contains a telomerase activator blend (organic extracts of turmeric, pomegranate, baical skullcap, hezi, gallnut, and black pepper) and a telomere antioxidant blend (organic wheatgrass powder and organic blackcurrant extract).

Telo-Vital is formulated to target telomeres by activating telomerase, which is thought to reduce the rate at which telomeres shorten during cellular reproduction. This telomere shortening is associated with a number of changes related to biological age.

Andrews and his team selected botanicals after testing 10,000, to find organic plant extracts that induce telomerase activation in human cells.

“People are living longer and want ways to add more life to their years. Dr. Andrews is the top scientist in the field of telomere research. His discovery of natural telomerase activators is a game-changer in nutrition science. The introduction of Telo-Vital is a breakthrough that can enable people to live to their fullest potential,” said Eddie Stone, CEO.
