Stratum Nutrition, in conjunction with Blis Technologies, announced the release of dairy-free versions of two probiotic strains branded as BLIS K12 and BLIS M18. Stratum is the North American distributor for Blis Technologies. The release of both allergen-free ingredients is helpful to those seeking to formulate dairy-free probiotic lines.

Blis Technologies specializes in oral probiotic supplements, and Streptococcus salivarius is the dominant organism present and several strains have been shown to produce favorable bacteriocin-like inhibitory substances (BLIS). BLIS K12 and BLIS M18 are both strains of S. salivarius.
