Specnova has been granted multiple Non-GMO Project verifications for branded ingredients, including NooGandha ashwagandha extract, MitoHeal redcurrant and blackcurrant extract, NordicCherry tart cherry extract, and AlphaFen fenugreek extract.

The Ingredients
 
NooGandha is an ashwagandha ingredient with a unique composition of compounds from other extracts on the market. The company selected compounds which are linked to nootropic activity, to promote cognitive performance and minimize stress, while reducing compounds that are associated with feelings of sedation. NooGandha contains withanolides at a concentration of 3.5 to 4%, according to a validated USP high performance liquid chromatography method. The ingredient also contains alkaloids, and utilizes ashwagandha’s natural plant matrix components for stability and absorption.
 
In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, supplementing with NooGandha daily at doses ranging from 225 mg to 400 mg resulted in improved test markers of mental agility, focus, and alertness, visual memory, reaction time, psychomotor speed, executive functioning, cortisol levels, subjective feelings of stress and anxiety, and food cravings.
 
MitoHeal is a polyphenol-rich complex of redcurrant and blackcurrant, formulated to support beauty from within. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, taking 500 mg of the ingredient was associated with reductions in fine lines and wrinkles, facial brown spots, and skin coarseness. There was also subjective improvements in stress response, mood, and sleep quality.
 
NordicCherry is a whole fruit tart cherry extract formulated to support muscle and joint health at a dose of 500 mg per day. According to Specnova, the extract contains a concentration of active polyphenol compounds which is between four and 40 times greater than leading tart cherry powders on the market.
 
AlphaFen is a fenugreek seed extract standardized for sapogenins and saponins. Specnova utilizes its proprietary production technology and a custom liposomal delivery system in order to achieve smaller efficacious dosing, enhanced bioavailability, and solubility to support men’s health. According to Specnova, AlphaFen is formulated to support sexual health, hormonal balance, strength, mood, and sleep.
