Dr. Umar Jan was appointed as Sabinsa’s president of European Operations, company founder and chairman Dr. Muhammed Majeed announced today. Jan, who previously held the role of resident director of Sabinsa Europe GmbH, joined the company in 2013 as EU technical sales manager.
 
Jan received an executive MBA degree from Mannheim Business School in Germany, and a doctorate in biochemistry from Goethe University. Prior to joining Sabinsa, he worked at international research institutes including the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg. Jan has published several papers in independent peer-reviewed journals including Nature, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, EMBO, and JBC.
