Supplement brand R3SET launched R3SET Stress Eating, a supplement designed to support stress in order to reduce stress-related cravings. The company, which launched in 2020 and received an investment from Paris Hilton, offers stress support techniques, education, and other services along with its supplements.

The latest supplement is meant to be taken once daily, and is formulated with Sensoril ashwagandha extract, apple cider vinegar, black pepper and cayenne pepper extracts, L-theanine, vitamin D3, and a chromium picolinate ingredient branded as Chromax, a combination intended to target stress.

“Following the success of our first two products to combat stress, R3SET Calm and Unwind, we saw an opportunity to also address the internal causes of junk snacking,” said Harris Rabin, chief commercial officer at R3SET. “We wanted to create a no-sugar, plant-based supplement to help people find balance.”

Snacking is one of the body’s responses to increased or sustained stress, according to R3SET. The company states that while some stress hormones initially suppress appetite, continued release of some hormones like cortisol may signal the brain to seek out foods that offer quick energy, particularly sugary foods.

R3SET Stress Eating is intended to be used daily as part of a 28-day regimen meant to support efforts to curb cravings and reduce reliance on comfort foods in response to stress, according to the company. Each ingredient was chosen based on clinical and other scientific evidence supporting their role in reducing stress and making beneficial changes to metabolism.

“After looking at the clinical research available, we decided the combination of the ingredients selected would achieve the results we wanted,” said Dr. Eric First, MD, co-founder and chief scientific officer at R3SET and a Fellow of the American Institute of Stress. “Some ingredients may already be familiar, but we also found studies demonstrating the efficacy of others that are on the cutting edge.”

The latest product joins the company’s portfolio, which includes R3SET Calm, a supplement designed to support ongoing daytime stress, and R3SET Unwind, which is formulated for sleep support.

The ingredients used in all of R3SET’s products are sourced from U.S. suppliers and manufactured in the U.S., derived from botanical ingredients and other nutrients, and all products are caffeine- and melatonin-free.
