Supplement company Onnit has partnered with Specnova in order to include its ashwagandha extract, NooGandha, in its newly-launched Alpha Brain preworkout formula.

NooGandha was the subject of research conducted by a team at Jacksonville University. In a group of 58 men and women who took either a placebo or NooGandha at doses of 225 or 400 mg daily for four weeks, improvements were observed in participants’ subjective self-reporting, cortisol levels, and a battery of cognitive tests.
 
Domains which were significantly improved through supplementation included mental agility, focus, alertness, visual memory, reaction time, psychomotor speed, and executive functioning. Participants also reported reduced feelings of stress and anxiety, and stress-related food cravings.
