OmniActive Health Technologies appointed Mark Dewis as the company’s CEO effective immediately, the company announced yesterday. Dewis will be based in OmniActive’s Morristown, NJ office.
 
Throughout the years, OmniActive has grown under the leadership of its founder, Sanjaya Mariwala, who will remain executive chairman and managing director. “It is with tremendous excitement that I announce Mark’s appointment,” Sanjaya said. “His proven success and forward-thinking, customer-centric approach is exactly what is needed to drive our next phase of growth.”
 
Dewis has held leadership positions in the health, nutrition, flavors, and food and beverage sectors for the past nearly three decades. For more than two decades, he was president of International Flavors & Fragrance, and brings to OmniActive experience in leading teams, driving innovation, and delivering customer centricity in the natural product and health ingredients sectors, OmniActive said in the announcement. He is additionally experienced in valuable, disruptive merger and acquisition activity. Dewis holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Science, and graduated from University of Nottingham, England.

Jim Hamilton, who was appointed CEO of the company on June 1, 2020, is no longer with the company. “While Jim Hamilton no longer has a role at OmniActive, we graciously thank him for his contributions during his time with us,” OmniActive said in a statement.
