Nutralliance Adds Apple Cider Vinegar to Its Portfolio

The company has launched a water-soluble, powdered form for use in food manufacturing.

Nutralliance has launched a powdered, water-soluble form of apple cider vinegar (ACV) to its portfolio of ingredients, which can be used in a wide array of food products. ACV has been used as a dietary supplement touted for health and wellness benefits, and when used as a food, it can enhance the flavor profiles of a variety of products.

At 5% acetic acid, the ACV can add a tangy and slightly sweet taste to any sauce or meat product, or can be incorporated into seasonings, soups, and other functional foods, as well as in dietary supplements such as tablets, capsules, and gummies.

“The science on the direct health benefits of ACV is vast, demonstrating abilities to boost immune protection by killing harmful bacteria, managing healthy blood sugar levels, support acceleration of weight loss, and helping to manage cholesterol,” said Brian Salerno, president of Nutralliance.

Citing a survey conducted by LEK, Nutralliance reports that 75% of consumers have a new will to increase the time and money they spend on health and wellness. 15% of consumers report that they have permanently changed their view and practice of health and are willing to spend more on health.

“This creates a magnetic opportunity to add ACV as a featured ingredient in foods. Our apple cider vinegar powder is both Halal and Kosher certified, so consumer appeal is wide and the market potential endless,” Salerno said.

Nutralliance’s ACV powder is third-party tested, and is made in the U.S.
