E-commerce supplement retailer iHerb recently launched three new products designed to help GLP-1 agonist users manage side effects.

Under the California Gold Nutrition brand, the three new products are CollagenUP Plus, Berberine Advanced, and Digestion Pro. Each supplement was developed in collaboration with Dr. Mehmet Oz, iHerb’s global advisor and stakeholder, and Michael Murray, ND, iHerb’s chief scientific advisor, who advised the company on formulations to address the nutrient deficiencies that may occur when a person’s appetite is significantly reduced.

Citing a report from Dandelion Health, iHerb noted that an estimated 60% of adults stop using their GLP-1 medication before reaching their targeted duration, with many citing negative side effects as a factor in quitting.

Digestion Pro features Prodigest, a plant-based blend designed to optimize digestive function, and can be used as a supplement to GLP-1 medication to support side effects such as bloating, nausea, and stomach pain, according to the company.

iHerb has also curated an assortment of vitamins and minerals to help GLP-1 users replenish nutrient deficiencies caused by a reduced intake of fortified and animal-source foods.
