FoodChain ID Reports Record Month for Non-GMO Project Verification

Company had a record month for Non-GMO Project Verification product submissions in November of 2018.

FoodChain ID, the market leader in Non-GMO Project Verification services, reported a record month for Non-GMO Project Verification product submissions.

“New product submissions are an indicator that demand is up for companies interested in getting their products Non-GMO Project Verified,” said David Carter, general manager, FoodChain ID Technical Services. “Greater demand is evidenced by FoodChain ID receiving over 1,000 new product submissions in the record month of November.”

FoodChain ID assists food, feed, and agricultural companies—from the world’s leading brands to single product local producers—through certification, testing, technical services, and solutions. The company is at the forefront of the visibility and transparency movement. As the first technical administrator working with the Non-GMO Project, FoodChain ID Technical Services has verified more than 60,000 products.

According to Mr. Carter, FoodChain ID’s cloud-based compliance software, SupplyTrak, is a key factor in the company’s ability to process such a high volume of products efficiently and quickly—with an average time to verification that is less than two weeks. “Since we started using SupplyTrak in 2007, we’ve processed tens of thousands of products and ingredients,” explained Mr. Carter. “SupplyTrak provides clients the ability to upload and store all compliance data in a secure online database and communicate with our technical evaluators directly, decreasing the time it takes to upload and manage the entire verification process.”
