Designs for Health, a dietary supplement brand in the healthcare practitioner channel, has launched two new collagen powders, Whole Beauty Collagen and Collagen + MCT. The products complement the company’s original collagen formula, Whole Body Collagen.
 
Whole Beauty Collagen is a once-daily powder featuring hydrolyzed collagen peptides and Lustriva, a proprietary blend of stabilized biotin and silica, formulated to support hair, skin, and nails. Evidence suggests that Lustriva may promote hair fullness, optimal skin texture, and nail strength, the company reports. The magnesium biotinate present in the formula is also substantially more dissolvable and is much more easily absorbed than the biotin used in competing beauty products.
 
Collagen + MCT is a keto-friendly powder featuring hydrolyzed collagen peptides from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows and medium-chain triglycerides from highly-refined coconut oil. MCTs can be converted by the body into ketones, even when not on a ketogenic diet, and can provide a quickly-available source of energy that most cells and tissues can use, the company reports. MCTs may also support cognitive function and mental clarity, according to Designs for Health.
 
Whole Body Collagen is a formulation designed to support bone, joint, and skin health, and features three branded collagen ingredients produced with proprietary hydrolyzation technologies from Gelita, called Verisol, Fortigel, and Fortibone.
