Cepham, an ingredient supplier specializing in ayurvedic nutraceuticals, has expanded its healthy aging line to include two new ingredients formulated to clear senescent cells.
 
Senescent cells are colloquially known as “zombie cells,” due to their lingering presence in the body which can lead to detrimental effects on surrounding cells. Over time, it’s thought the accumulation of senescent cells, which is related to the aging process, may contribute to various age-related health conditions.
 
Senolytics are compounds designed to target and eliminate senescent cells from the body, promote tissue regeneration, and reduce inflammation.
