CardioMetaboliQ, an at-home blood test which allows users to test for various measures of cardiovascular and metabolic health, is now available to consumers. The test is part of an end-to-end health service developed by functional medicine practitioner Steven Bennett, DC.

The testing and management of metabolic issues needs an overhaul, according to the company, as fatty liver, obesity, and diabetes are on the rise in the U.S. According to the company, a large proportion of the population is unaware that they are unwell, despite obesity approaching 50%, fatty liver at 30% of the U.S. populations, and over 90 million people insulin resistant and 88 million people in pre-diabetes.

Acording to a 2018 survey published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, 93% of adults have less than optimal cardiometabolic health.

Access to Testing

CardiometaboliQ was developed out of the need for accessible cardiovascular, metabolic, and liver testing for patients, the company reports. Bennett, in developing the test, searched for cost-effective Fatty Liver Index tests as well as more advanced vascular and insulin resistance markers, but none were available.

Even as the latest research highlights the importance of fatty liver, obesity, and prediabetes in disease prevention, a gap exists between the need and the availability of doctor-delivered and online lab testing, according to the company.

CardioMetaboliQ tests are developed with cost-accessibility in mind, and each client receives a health report which describes the results, and the interconnected nature of their liver, heart, and metabolic health. The test is specifically designed for: healthy people who want to confirm their current health standing; patients struggling with weight, diet, inflammation, or blood sugar control; and patients already managing certain metabolic conditions.

More than Testing

Testing is the initial step of the CardioMetaboliQ service, with diet and exercise guidance also included. The service also features access to related blood panels examining thyroid, wellness, and women’s health issues, as well as predictive calculators and supplementation.

“We are extremely proud and excited to introduce CardioMetaboliQ,” said Bennett. “We see it addressing a large and growing need in the U.S. and internationally. The subscription feature provides amazing resources and keeps the cost of testing and nutritional supplements more than affordable.”
