Today, Bio-K Plus International, a Kerry company, introduced its Extra line of functional, drinkable probiotic supplements, which comes in addition to its Pro and Original lines. The product, which offers a high probiotic content of 80 billion CFU, a protein base of fermented oats and pumpkin seeds, and other clinically-supported ingredients, is formulated as a convenient option for active consumers.
 
The launch is the result of nearly two years of research carried out by the Bio-K Plus team, who sought a solution appealing to consumers seeking a more holistic approach to their dietary supplements, by including added functional ingredients.

Most notable is the formulation behind these products, the company reports. The Bio-K Plus three-strain probiotic blend, which is clinically evidenced to support digestive health, is combined to additional branded  functional ingredients to deliver on health products that consumers seek today. This includes the options of the addition of: Wellmune, Kerry’s yeast beta-glucan ingredient linked to benefits in immune function; Cereboost, for its benefits to cognitive function, performance, and working memory; and Cyracos, for its studied effects on restlessness and nervousness.
