Balchem Corporation, an ingredients manufacturer specializing in human and animal nutrition, agricultural chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, recently announced the acquisition of Cardinal Associates Inc., the parent company of Bergstrom Nutrition. Bergstrom Nutrition is a Washington-based manufacturer of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM).
 
MSM is widely used in dietary supplements formulated for joint health, sports nutrition, skin and beauty, healthy aging, and pet health. Bergstrom Nutrition’s OptiMSM branded ingredient is the only MSM with a U.S. GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) designation.
