Leading regulatory and intellectual property law firm Amin Talati has changed its name to Amin Talati Wasserman LLP, effective June 1, 2019, making Ivan Wasserman, who also serves as the firm’s managing partner, a name partner.

“Our new name is a reflection of how far we have come and how far we plan to go,” said firm co-founder Rakesh Amin. “Just three years ago we started an office in Washington D.C. focused on FDA and FTC regulatory matters, and under Ivan’s leadership that office is thriving and expanding. We have significantly increased the depth and breadth of our trademark practice and expanded our medical device and advertising practices. And we are not done yet.”

The firm has grown to over 20 professionals in Chicago and Washington, D.C. dedicated to serving clients in the food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. It plans to grow in all of its core areas, and in particular plans further expansion of its intellectual property and litigation capabilities to meet client demand.

“We are so fortunate to represent some of the most innovative companies in the industries we serve,” said firm co-founder Ashish Talati who also leads the firm’s regulatory practice. “They say ‘food is the new tech,’ and we see that first hand. With new ingredients from CBD to probiotics, the advent of personalized nutrition and advances in food science, and the rise of the natural and organic industry, we are at the forefront of a revolution and we are very proud to be part of it.”
