Although camel milk is neither a supplement or medicine and that claims about its benefits to autistic children are not approved by the FDA, worth noting is that researchers at the King Saud University in Saudi Arabia recently examined the effects of 500 ml. of camel milk vs. cow's milk on 60 autistic children aged 2-12 years old for two weeks. Blood analysis revealed low levels of antioxidants in all children at the beginning of the study. Camel milk also contains high levels of GABA (Gamma-Amino Butyric Acid), which is essential for helping the brain to function properly. University of California Irvine scientists have found that both camel milk and goat milk have significantly more GABA than cow's milk or human milk.
