NHK Laboratories, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, CA, has donated 5,000 bottles of children’s multi-vitamin chewable tablets to the non-profit organization Vitamin Angels. The charity group’s mission is to help at-risk populations —specifically impoverished pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five—gain access to lifesaving and life changing micronutrients.
Shabbir Akand, vice president, Sales and Marketing for NHK Laboratories commented, “This donation is a part of our ongoing social responsibility initiative at the company. We hope these vitamins are able to help supplement the diet of those who are less fortunate with essential nutrients needed for normal development.”
Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels remarked, “NHK’s ongoing commitment to our work is so appreciated. Their contribution will bring life changing vitamins to the children who need them most, all around the world.”
