Older Americans on Medicaid are increasingly frustrated with budget cuts and poor healthcare. As a result, more people are relying on alternative treatments, including all-natural arthritis and joint pain supplement—especially in states considered below average for Medicaid coverage and benefits—according to Flexcin International, Fort Myers, FL, which analyzed customer data for its arthritis supplement, Flexcin with CM8. The company compared its data with information published by the Direct Care Alliance advocacy group, which identified the top and bottom states with Medicaid practices and policies.
Among the “10 Worst States For Medicaid Policies” 2010 Flexcin use increased on average about 6%, with highest rates in Florida (about 13%), Colorado (about 9%), Alabama (about 8%), South Carolina (about 6%) and Virginia (about 5%).
“Many states have had to cut spending on Medicaid programs, which ultimately decreases the service quality and options for people needing prescriptions and other care,” said Tamer Elsafy, CEO and founder of Flexcin. “We’ve seen a definite increase in the number of people frustrated with Medicaid willing to try alternative treatments for their ailments.”
