With its new state-of-the-art Technology and Innovation Center, scientists at Omega Protein, Houston, TX, will analyze and process oils, and conduct wet chemistry and advanced compositional studies, along with encapsulation and micro-encapsulation work. Additional labs will accommodate food service, baked goods and dairy and beverage applications. Personnel will also strive to determine the most effective methods of preserving, packaging, storing and distributing manufactured products fortified with omega 3 fatty acids.
