The Whole Grains Council, Boston, MA, has launched the Whole Grain Stamp, making it easier for shoppers to spot whole grain foods. There are three varieties of the black and gold stamp, including the “good source” stamp for foods containing a half serving of whole grains (8 grams); the “excellent source” stamp goes on products offering a full serving of whole grains (16 grams); and the third stamp—”excellent source/100%”—which is for foods with a full serving of whole grains, containing no refined grains.
