After successful completion of a controlled human clinical trial, Degussa Food Ingredients has launched a new ingredient in Europe, North America and Asia to address the rising rate of overweight and obesity, and the related rise in unbalanced blood glucose conditions. The company has developed a new double-fermented wheat fiber product having a defined low glycemic index (GI). The company offers the double-fermented wheat product as a powder blend, in tablet form (fortified with all essential nutrients) or as a functional food ingredient for beverages, dairy and dessert-type products.
