The Hain Celestial Group, Melville, NY, has been active on several fronts. Under its Celestial Seasonings® brand the company has introduced three new teas. True Blueberry Herb Tea, which can be made as a hot brew or iced tea, is caffeine free, 100% natural and contains hibiscus, rosehips, blueberries and natural blueberry flavor. The company has also introduced Madagascar Vanilla Red and Peach Apricot Honeybush teas. Both teas are naturally caffeine free, low in tannins and contain high levels of antioxidants.
In other news, Health Valley, whose products are manufactured and marketed by The Hain Celestial Group, has introduced three new breakfast cereals. Health Valley Empower is fortified with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids. It consists of flakes, twigs and blueberries. Health Valley Heart Wise contains omega 3 fatty acids and provides 11 grams of protein per serving. The cereal is a mixture of flakes and clusters with a sweet honey flavor. Health Valley Slender is fortified with iron along with other vitamins and minerals and contains 10 grams of protein per serving. Slender is a combination of fiber O’s, twigs and strawberries.
Lastly, The Hain Celestial Group has introduced a new line of low carbohydrate products from several of its brands. The new Carb Fit line-up includes snacks from Hain PureSnax, pastas from DeBoles and cookies from Health Valley. De Boles Carb Fit Pasta contains 9 grams of carbohydrates per serving and 29 grams of protein and is available in four varieties, including spaghetti, penne, rotini and elbows. Hain PureSnax Carb Fit Soy Nuts have 6 net carbs, contain soy protein, have no trans fats and are available in Salted and Red Hot varieties. Hain PureSnax has also introduced Carb Fit Twirls, which are made with soy protein, contain 5 net carbohydrates and are available in Nacho and Ranch varieties. Health Valley Carb Fit Cookies contain 6-8 grams of carbohydrates per serving and are available in Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Almond varieties.
