Our Flavor & Nutrition Division develops, produces, and sells flavors and functional ingredients that are used in foods, beverages and health products including culinary products & snacks, sweets & desserts, dairy products & ice cream, beverages and nutritional supplements.
We are seeking a self-motivated team player with a product development background in tablets, OTC products, and nutritional beverages, dry mixes, and bars to select and apply flavors to bases as well as create and develop OTC and nutritional product formulations and concepts. You will manage and execute projects efficiently and in timely manner; develop and prepare health care and nutritional food products demonstrating Symrise’s flavors and capabilities to customers; provide technical support to Account Management and customers; remain abreast of new health care/food developments, trends and innovation in the area of food products and visit customers for product presentation and meetings.

The position requires a B.S. in Food Science, Food Chemistry or Pharmacy, with a M.S. in Food Science preferred, along with 8+ years’ experience in flavor application, healthcare product development and/or nutritional product development. The ability to lead & execute projects from conception to commercialization, taste finished product, thrive in a team oriented environment, find the best flavor solution and solve flavor and food ingredient related issues associated with application and processing methods are required. Strong technical knowledge of the use of flavors and ingredient interactions in required applications; an understanding of manufacturing processes of health care and nutritional products and strong communication and PC skills are a must. Some travel may be required.
