OmniActive Health Technologies, Morristown, NJ, was presented the top honor in the Nutraceutical category at the Pharmexcil Outstanding Exports Awards 2013-14 at the Park Hyatt, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad (India). OmniActive has been presented this award for five consecutive years.
During the reception, Dr. P.V. Appaji, director general of Pharmexcil said, “As a government agency we are mandated to help the Indian pharmaceutical industry achieve excellence in exports and facilitate overseas buyers to find suitable trade with [India]. These awards are a token of encouragement to the pharma companies that are doing excellent business."
Pharmexcil—Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India—was created by the government of India in May 2004 under the provision of Foreign Trade Policy by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which cover a variety of pharmaceutical products including bulk drugs, formulations, biotech products, Indian systems of medicines, herbal products, diagnostics and clinical research. The Pharmexcil Outstanding Exports Awards are given by a panel of expert constituents to a select group of companies that demonstrate excellence in their contributions to India’s pharmaceutical exports. This year, more than 150 applicants competed for awards in a variety of categories.
“We strive to manufacture premium and innovative branded ingredients through effective, efficient and sustainable operations including vertically integrated supply chains and tight controls that meet the strictest global regulations,” said Sanjaya Mariwala, managing director, OmniActive Health Technologies. “We are delighted to be honored again with this prestigious award. Our efforts in manufacturing and exporting products have set the standards for quality and performance excellence worldwide.”
