InterHealth Nutraceuticals, Benicia, CA, and Nutravail Technologies have co-developed a soft chew containing InterHealth’s UC-II undenatured type II collagen. Two human trials have shown significant improvement in joint health for subjects consuming 40 mg of UC-II daily. The taste and convenience of the newly developed UC-II soft chew overcomes the challenge of daily compliance.
“As we saw the success of UC-II as a joint health ingredient in the natural foods and mass markets develop in tablet and capsule form, many of our customers have asked us about other dosage forms that lend themselves to the once-a-day format. Clearly, with all the success of calcium soft chews, the extension to joint health chews with InterHealth’s patented 40 mg once-a-day UC-II is a natural fit,” said Jay Martin, vice president of sales and marketing for InterHealth.
Nutravail and InterHealth worked for nearly a year to develop this chew to ensure that the taste, quality and efficacy of the product would meet the needs of customers and consumers. “At Nutravail we believe in producing unique products that taste great and provide the nutritional support consumers need. Because UC-II is only 40 mg a day and virtually tasteless, it presented a perfect fit for Nutravail’s patented, uncooked soft chew technology and we are thrilled with the result of our substantial co-development effort,” said Greg Thoren, vice president of sales and business development for Nutravail.
The two companies are working together to provide product samples and are ready to customize the product to meet specific customer needs. For more information contact Jay Martin of InterHealth at 707-751-2800 or Greg Thoren of Nutravail at 414-988-9644.
