Lycored is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its positivity and kindness campaign, Good in Bloom. The campaign, unveiled on Earth Day 2015, is part of Lycored’s ongoing commitment to cultivating wellness, and a reminder to people that even a little act of kindness can go a long way. To celebrate, today on Earth Day Lycored is reflecting on the past, continuing an annual tradition, and announcing new initiatives for the upcoming season.
What began last year with surprise marigold deliveries nationwide, Good in Bloom has evolved to numerous initiatives intended to influence communities with kind-hearted acts. Last April, working with ValleyArts and the town of Orange, NJ, Lycored transformed the outside of the YWCA with a wellness mural, as a way to rejuvenate and bring additional color to the area; a mural that still hangs there today. Another beautiful moment from the campaign took place in Las Vegas when Lycored ‘painted the strip orange,’ offering pedestrians marigolds to pass on to others, and filling the entire strip with an orange glow. In addition, Lycored’s Good in Bloom campaign spawned continents with events in the United Kingdom and Israel.
Continuing the tradition, this Earth Day Lycored commissioned a request to partners, friends, and industry professionals to surprise someone with a marigold flower delivery to arrive on Earth Day. This small act is intended to help brighten the day of more than 750 recipients and spread happiness around the world.
“With a belief that communities are also in need of nourishment, our Good in Bloom program is designed to touch the hearts of not only our company, but everyone we have encountered through our programs. More people than ever helped us celebrate Earth Day this year by sending a marigold through our Good in Bloom program, and we’d like to thank each and every one. We believe even starting small, such as receiving a flower, can help spread happiness and positivity, a key component to overall wellness,” said Zev Ziegler, vice president of brand & marketing at Lycored. “As we embark on the second year of this journey, Lycored is committed to reminding everyone that Earth Day can be celebrated every day.”
In addition, Lycored is announcing as part of their Good in Bloom program, the Lycored US Team have joined forces with artist Kim Holleman to create a mobile garden and to develop an educational tool for their headquarters’ community in Orange, NJ. Hollowed out from the inside of a trailer, Kim will begin development of this garden to help educate kids on the importance of health and nutrition, and give them a first-hand natural experience to witnessing what beauty can look like in an urban environment. The mobile garden is expected to be completed this May.
Lycored prides itself in creating strategic partnerships with likeminded brands to help set a high standard in the industry, making a positive impact on communities.
